Abstract
The atmospheric aerosol samples were collected at six representative s ites with an 8-stage cascade impactor sampler and analyzed for their e lemental mass concentrations by the PIXE analytic method. Based on som e indicator elements, the characteristic of size distributions of part icles from different sources were obtained. According to these charact eristics, we inferred the origins of the ultrafine particles around th e Great Wall Station in the Antarctic.
