SOLVATION OF COBALT(III) COMPLEXES - PARTIAL MOLAR VOLUMES AND TRANSFER CHEMICAL-POTENTIALS

Partial molar volumes for cobalt(III) complexes in aqueous solution ar e reviewed, and transfer chemical potentials for this family of comple xes to aqueous methanol collated. The relevance of such information to the understanding of hydration of these complexes is outlined. Prelim inary results on binuclear cobalt(III) complexes are presented and dis cussed in relation to available data on mononuclear cobalt(III) specie s.
