Abstract
By investigating the intensity of He I spectral lines emitted after ex citation by 10-25 keV He-He collisions as a function of an axial elect ric field, electric dipole moments of the impact-excited n = 4 states were determined. Though neutral projectiles were used, large dipole mo ments were measured.
