Abstract
Total assignment of C-13 and H-1 NMR spectra of the 5-isopropylsulfony l-2-norbornenes 2 was achieved using the concerted application of two- dimensional homonuclear and heteronuclear chemical shift correlations. The stereochemistry of both the diastereoisomers endo 2a and exo 2b h ave been established using the magnitude of the proton coupling consta nts.
