Abstract
Treatment with the co-transport inhibitor, furosemide decreased Cl-36- flux across perfused Malpighian tubules of Locusta. However, exclusio n of Cl-36- from the bathing medium had no effect on Na-22+ flux where as substitution of bathing medium Na+ by K+ increased Cl-36- flux. Diu retic extract of corpora cardiaca increased Na-22+ (by 106%) and Cl-36 - (by 335%) fluxes differentially.
