Abstract
The regular surveillance of Neisseria gonorrhoeae since 1980 has permi tted, in our hospital (Angers, France), the isolation of our first str ain possessing a penicillinase and a high-level resistance to tetracyc line confered by tetM determinant. The origin of this strain seems to be from Cameroun : such strains presenting the same resistance - patte rn are known in this country since 1991.
