Abstract
The reaction of triphenylchloromethane 1 with nitrobenzene 2 under bot h thermic and ultrasonic activation has been investigated. The obtaine d products indicate as possible an electron transfer mechanism in whic h triphenylchloromethane is donor and nitrobenzene is acceptor. This t ype of electron transfer from triphenylchloromethane has not been obse rved until now. 1
