Abstract
An original method of synthesis of palladium(II) complex with ramethyl dibenzo[b,i][1,4,8,11]tetraaza[14]annulene (TMTAA) was presented and t he acid-base properties and electrochemical behavior of the compound w ere investigated. It was found that protonation and one-electron oxida tion are caused by elimination of one electron from the conjugated pi system of the chelate ring and cause the same type of changes in the e lectronic structure of the complex. It was shown that further electroo xidation of [PdTMTAA] causes the formation of a conducting polymer fil m on the electrode.
