One hundred and twenty writers in Trinidad and Tobago participated in
a survey to determine which characteristics would be changed by writer
s to disguise their signatures. It was found that changes in design of
capital letters (63%), speed (48%), slant (43%) and signature length
(43%) were most favoured. No particular combination of features was fo
und to be dominant and no correlation could be found between the effec
tiveness of the disguise and the method of disguise.
