Cg. Choi et Bm. Kwak, ANALYSIS OF TRACKED-VEHICLE SUSPENSION SYSTEMS USING A FRICTIONAL CONTACT PROBLEM FORMULATION, Mechanics of structures and machines, 21(1), 1993, pp. 123-149
A new procedure for analysis of tracked-vehicle suspension systems und
er a track length constraint, based on a frictional contact problem fo
rmulation, is presented. Impenetrability, inextensibility, unilateral
behavior of track, and friction conditions are expressed in complement
arity form. The resulting problem is then amenable to efficient numeri
cal algorithms, such as the modified simplex method. This approach is
demonstrated through numerical applications to a model of a tracked-ve
hicle suspension system.
