Vn. Konev et Nb. Petrukhnovskaya, EFFECT OF CRYSTALLINE-STRUCTURE OF REACTION-PRODUCT ON SELENIUM-PLATING RATE OF COPPER, Protection of metals, 28(4), 1992, pp. 483-487
The effect of the state of the reaction product on the rate of formati
on of new phase layers is discussed in an example of the selenium-plat
ing of copper. Investigations were conducted on single crystals with d
ifferent degrees of perfection (conditional splitting was carried out
in accordance with the size of the blocks and angles of disorientation
) and polycrystals. It was established that at T < 673-degrees-K, an i
ncrease in the degree of perfection of the crystalline structure of th
e reaction product gives rise to a reduction in the selenium-plating r
ate of copper. When T > 673-degrees-K, the rate of selenium plating is
independent of the degree of perfection of the crystals of the reacti
on product.
