Abstract
We describe a patient on anticoagulant therapy with massive retroperit oneal and intraperitoneal bleeding complicating femoral catheterizatio n. Balloon tamponade of the actively bleeding femoral artery was effec tive in sealing off the leakage after failed surgical exploration.
