Abstract
Experiments with a Hungarian potato variety ''Kisvardai Rozsa'' confir med that the impedance ratio Z50K/Z5K suggested by Japanese workers si gnificantly depends on the radiation dose applied to inhibit sprouting . However, the sensitivity and statistical reliability of this impedan ce ratio for identification of a radiation treatment was relatively po or. The ratio of phase angles was also tested at several frequencies a nd the ratio phi15K/phi80K provided statistically higher probability, and at least 3-times greater sensitivity as a response to the absorbed radiation dose than the previously recommended parameter.
