Abstract
Although large numbers of mental health professionals now provide serv ices in psychiatric hospitals, their activities raise ethical issues l argely unaddressed in the professional literature. Systems-oriented th erapists who work in these settings face additional ethical dilemmas n ot encountered by those who work with individuals. This article discus ses six ethical issues systems-oriented therapists must confront when working in psychiatric hospitals and concludes with guidelines for pra ctice.
