Abstract
The problem of flow of a solution of a binary electrolyte in a straigh t cylindrical capillary having walls coated with a porous charged or u ncharged gel layer under an applied electric field was solved. It was shown that electrokinetic phenomena are possible when there are no fix ed charges both in the gel itself and on the initial surface due to sp ecific interaction of ions with the gel material.
