Abstract
The interaction of a number of globular proteins with the surface of h ighly dispersed silica at PH close to the region of the isoelectric st ate of these proteins was studied by constructing and analyzing adsorp tion-desorption curves. Complete or partial irreversibility of the ads orption processes studied was established. It is suggested that the hi gh sorbability of certain protein preparations may be a consequence of an increased content of lipids incorporated into the protein structur e.
