Cr. Nezhat et Fr. Nezhat, LAPAROSCOPIC SEGMENTAL BLADDER RESECTION FOR ENDOMETRIOSIS - A REPORTOF 2 CASES, Obstetrics and gynecology, 81(5), 1993, pp. 882-884
Background. The proper treatment of bladder endometriosis is unknown.
Case: Two women with endometriosis involving the full thickness of the
bladder wall experienced persistent hematuria during menstruation. Th
ey had not responded to previous conservative medical or surgical ther
apy, so we performed laparoscopic segmental resection, with satisfacto
ry results. Conclusion: Hematuria during menstruation due to endometri
osis of the bladder is uncommon. In the two cases presented, good resu
lts followed laparoscopic segmental resection.
