Abstract
Ce3+:YAlO3 crystals with good optical quality were grown by the CZ met hod, and the absorption, excited and fluorescence spectra were obtaine d. As a result, it is believed that this crystal is a promising tunabl e laser crystal at short wavelengths of 320-420 nm.
