Abstract
This paper examines methods of enhancing the potential benefits of dig ital phologrammetry with regard to both its operational and applicatio n aspects. In the former case, a simple but effective approach is desc ribed for image contrast enhancement based on slicing the whole image itself rather than the histogram of its grey density; data coding, inp ut and output are also discussed. In the latter case, examples from en vironmental sciences are given.
