Abstract
The article is a review of eight books on qualitative researchs method s recently published in Germany. Given that this field is characterize d by a considerable heterogeneity of concepts and a great number of un resolved methodological problems the article comes to the conclusion t hat the majority of the publications discussed seen somewhat premature .
