Abstract
This article sets forth the criteria for selecting the parameters of a goniophotometer and estimating the measurement reliability range. The se criteria are based on the theory of electromagnetic-wave diffractio n on randomly rough surfaces and an analysis of how the far-zone condi tion is satisfied. Expressions and estimate examples are given for som e Russian and foreign goniophotometers.
