Yd. Liu et al., SIMULTANEOUS CORRELATION OF ACTIVITY-COEFFICIENT AND PARTIAL THERMAL-PROPERTIES FOR ELECTROLYTE-SOLUTIONS USING A MODEL WITH ION-SPECIFIC PARAMETERS, Fluid phase equilibria, 83, 1993, pp. 243-251
The Liu-Harvey-Prausnitz model (1989a) for electrolyte solutions with
ion-specific parameters is extended to simultaneously correlate the ac
tivity coefficient, relative partial molal enthalpy and heat capacity
of six aqueous electrolytes (HBr, HCl, KBr, KCl, LiBr and LiCl) over t
he temperature range 0 - 110-degrees-C and the concentration range up
to 21.55 m. An improved expression is proposed for the dielectric cons
tant of aqueous electrolyte solutions over wide ranges of temperature
and concentration. For comparison, a similar model (Liu et al., 1989b)
is also applied to the simultaneous correlation. For both models, the
calculated values agree well with experimental data.
