Abstract
Diiron(II)-(III) complexes [Fe2L(B)2](X)2 are prepared, where HL repre sents s[bis(2-pyridylmethyl)aminomethyl]-4-methylphenol, HB is carboxy lic acid or dicarboxylic acid, and X is ClO4- or BF4-. The valence sta te of the irons of some complexes is delocalized in the Mossbauer time scale (1 x 10(-7) s) at 296 K and localized at 78 K. The valence stat e of the irons of the other complexes is localized at the temperature range of 78-296 K.
