AC susceptibility, chi(AC), and Mossbauer spectra have been measured f
or Fe100-xZrx amorphous alloys (x = 8-12 at.%). The magnetic phase dia
gram estimated from AC susceptibility measurements shows the re-entran
t spin glass state in all of the present specimens, and the hyperfine
field distribution curve P(H(hf)) at 4.2 K is very broad. These result
s suggest the magnetic heterogeneity in the specimens. The anomalous i
ncrease of average hyperfine fields [H(hf)] below T(sf)([H(hf)]) may b
e attributed to the freezing of transverse components of spins.
