Temperature dependence of the differential susceptibility and of Mossb
auer spectra has been investigated for high Fe concentrated amorphous
Lu-Fe alloys. Amorphous LuxFe100-x (x = 10.5, 15, 20.7) alloys show cu
sps at the Curie temperature T(c) and the spin freezing temperature T(
f) and a broad peak at the spin-canting temperature T(g). The average
hyperfine field H(hf)BAR of the amorphous Lu20.7Fe79.3 alloy was found
to increase with decreasing temperature below T(c) = 180 K. An additi
onal increase in H(hf)BAR was observed below the spin-canting temperat
ure T(g) = 60 K, being consistent with the results of the differential
susceptibility measurements. The Mossbauer spectra were analyzed by b
oth conventional and modified Hess-Rubartsch methods. The results obta
ined by the latter for the amorphous Lu20.7Fe79.3 alloy show no anti-f
erromagnetic component in the hyperfine fields.
