Since Fe and Ag are immiscible, we have tried to obtain fcc Fe cluster
s embedded in the Ag matrix using an ionized cluster beam (ICB) techni
que together with thermal evaporation or ion beam sputtering. Mossbaue
r spectra at 4.2 K of a sample with the composition ratio Fe/Ag = 45/5
5 could be fitted by two sextets with hyperfine fields of about 355 an
d 336 kOe and a singlet with an isomer shift of 0.26 mm s-1.
