The description and characteristics of a new Mossbauer absorption meth
od of analysis (MAMA) of impurities in gaseous media are presented and
different types of gamma-resonance (GR) absorbents are considered. Th
e most sensitive GR-sensors represent the GR-absorbents in which an ir
reversible chemical reaction occurs and fine insoluble iron containing
clusters appears. In a few selected examples of analysis of ammonia,
organophosphorus impurities and arsine in air the characteristics and
results of a study with GR-sensors are considered.
