The solubilities Of chloro-fluoro-hydrocarbons were determined with 4
different methods first in technical solvents (NMP, DMF and PEGDME) an
d second in octanol, triglyceride (oil) and water. The results are imp
ortant for process design of gas purification systems or, respectively
, for the estimation of the bioconcentration factor which indicates th
e accumulation of a substance dissolved in water in an organism living
in water. Experimental methods and equipment are explained. Results a
re presented in diagrams showing Henry and limiting activity coefficie
nts as function of temperature and composition.
