Abstract
A method for predicting the phase behavior of petroleum fractions usin g equations of state is proposed. The procedure is tested on binary mi xtures and on real petroleum fractions. The experimental data used for the comparison are Henrys constants as determined by GLC measurements . The performances of cubic and non cubic equations of state in predic ting multicomponent data are compared. The equation of state based on the Perturbed Hard Chain Theory gives excellent results in the predict ions of Henry's constants of light gases in petroleum fractions.
