T. Nakanaga et al., TIME-RESOLVED HIGH-RESOLUTION FTIR ABSORPTION-SPECTROSCOPY IN A PULSED DISCHARGE, Chemical physics letters, 206(1-4), 1993, pp. 73-76
A simple method for measuring a time-resolved high-resolution FTIR abs
orption spectrum has been demonstrated using a pulsed electric dischar
ge synchronized to the motion of the moving mirror. This method can be
applied to the phenomena which repeat rapidly ( > almost-equal-to 3 k
Hz) by using a usual rapid scan FTIR spectrometer without any modifica
tion to the software of the system. The fast vibrational energy relaxa
tion of CO in moderately vibrationally excited states (v = 3-6) was cl
early observed in a pulsed electric discharge through pure CO.
