Cy. Chiou et al., DEVELOPMENT OF A MICRO-PROCESSOR-BASED TRANSIENT DATA RECORDING-SYSTEM FOR LOAD BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS, IEEE transactions on power systems, 8(1), 1993, pp. 16-22
A microprocessor-based transient data recording system, developed in t
he Taipower system, for the investigation of actual load behaviors dur
ing system disturbances is described. The system is currently installe
d (nine sets of such a system at the present time) at the level of pri
mary substations and distribution substations in the Taipower system.
Analytical tools to compute the corresponding voltage and current phas
ors from the instantaneous three-phase voltages and currents measured
by the system and to compute the corresponding real and reactive power
s are presented. A procedure of applying the recording system to devel
op an accurate load model for the Taipower system is detailed.
