Abstract
The significance of study habits and attitudes for school success can not only be seen from prediction studies but also from extreme group c omparisons. Two of such comparisons were conducted with pupils of seco ndary schools. The results indicate that pupils with good marks have s ignificantly better study habits and attitudes than pupils with bad ma rks. From that follow important consequences for school psychological counseling and learning strategies training.
