Abstract
In the mouse several point mutations and a great variety of chromosoma l rearrangements are available. They all represent useful tools for ex perimental studies in developmental biology. This review provides, wit h the help of a few examples, an overview of the importance of the mou se for studies of the genetics of mammalian development.
