M. Velkovsky et Ev. Shuryak, ON THE HIGGS-INDUCED CONTRIBUTION TO BARYON NUMBER VIOLATION AT VERY HIGH-ENERGIES, Physics letters. Section B, 304(3-4), 1993, pp. 281-284
The probability of baryon number violation and multiple production of
W and Higgs bosons is known to be related to the instanton-anti-instan
ton (IIBAR) interaction. We evaluate the Higgs-induced part of this in
teraction, corresponding to ''streamline'' gauge configurations. As it
is known to be repulsive at large IIBAR distances, the question was r
aised whether it can produce a ''second barrier'' and significantly re
duce the tunneling probability. However, our results show that this is
not the case.
