Abstract
Complete next-to-leading order corrections (HOC) to large-p(T) direct photon production by a longitudinally polarized proton beam and target are determined; the calculation involves one-loop corrections to gq o ver arrow pointing right --> gammaq and qqBAR over arrow pointing righ t --> gammag as well as the subprocesses gg over arrow pointing right --> gammaqqBAR and qq over arrow pointing right --> gammaqq. K-factors well exceeding unity and polarized cross sections well measurable are found. Certain aspects of the HOC are also discussed.
