We show that strong and Coulomb final-state interactions induce correl
ations between pi and K mesons emitted with small relative momenta (le
ss-than-or-equal-to 100 MeV/c) from relativistic heavy-ion collisions.
Measurements of these correlations, estimated to have a (5-10)% effec
t, might further constrain source parameters and/or pi K scattering le
ngths. Strong-interaction correlations less-than-or-equal-to 5% are al
so estimated for pi+pi- pairs.
