Nitride formation processes in model melts Ni-Cr-N were studied. The i
sotherms of nitride formation were calculated and verified experimenta
lly. The temperature and concentration conditions of decomposition of
the melts being studied were determined. The leading role of nitrogen
in forming the structure and properties of the Ni-Cr alloys was shown.
The optimal conditions of alloying with nitrogen at which high mechan
ical properties of alloys with a various chromium content are ensured
were substantiated.
