Abstract
Physicochemical analysis was employed to establish the features, of co nstitution the phase diagrams of ternary systems containing ferromagne tic metals (Fe, Co, and Ni) and refractory transition metals of Group V of the periodic table (Nb and Ta). For example, the interaction of t he mu phases having the same structure as the compound Fe7W6 always le ads to the formation of ternary solid solutions. An attempt was made t o estimate the concentration stability of topologically close-packed p hases of other types by calculating the change in the factor of the el ectron concentration.
