Abstract
Experimental EIS results are presented which were obtained during poly merization of bithiophene on a Pt electrode under potentiostatic condi tions. A FFT impedance spectrometer which uses a sum of selected sine waves as a perturbation was employed in this study. A numerical approa ch was applied to obtain correct impedance data from these measurement s. The investigation confirmed that electropolymerization is accompani ed by the build-up of a very large capacitance in the electrode double layer.
