analyze the quality of published articles. An analysis of Published l
iterature in professional journals provides a means of comparison in t
erms of topic, theory, methodology, and application. This article revi
ews some of the findings related to published research on special educ
ation topics. Seven general guidelines related to developing special e
ducation research programs are suggested.
