La. Fedorova et al., FORMATION OF LIVING POLY(VINYL PYRIDINE) CHAINS WITH CHROMIUM COUNTERION AND THEIR USE FOR THE SYNTHESIS OF HYBRID POLYMERS, Pure and applied chemistry, A30, 1993, pp. 261-270
Tris-T1-allyl chromium being inactive with respect to vinyl pyridines
at 0-degrees-C, induces effective polymerization of 2- and 4-vinyl pyr
idines at 50-60-degrees-C. The living chains formed in these processes
are able to initiate the polymerization of acrylonitrile and methyl m
ethacrylate, i.e. to form the corresponding copolymers.
