Abstract
The nuclear microprobe facility at the Laboratory for Nuclear Microana lysis, of the Ruder Boskovic Institute in Zagreb is described. The mic robeam system is positioned at one of the beam lines of the EN tandem accelerator. The system consists of the Oxford design magnetic quadrup ole doublet and the scattering chamber constructed by ourselves. A gen eral description of the facilitY is given, together with a more detail ed description of chamber design. Few recent examples of microbeam app lications in geology, environmental and biomedical research are given.
