DEMOGRAPHIC PROFILE OF AN ORISSA VILLAGE

An attempt has been made here to highlight the demographic aspects of Kangrapada village in the district of Koraput in Orissa. Various inter lacing factors relating to demographic principles have been analysed h ere in the background of statistical data arranged in ten different ta bles. Five caste and community groups like Gadaba, Dom, Gauda, Rana an d Kamar are taken into consideration; they have got separate social id entity, but still they show specific integration in all village affair s. This quantitative analysis of human population in the perspective o f socio-economic situation of an Orissan village brings to light some specific interesting features.
