Abstract
When a stratifying solution (2,4,6-trimethylpyridine plus water) is pu t in the labile region on the phase diagram under conditions of retard ed convection, one observes changes in the structure of the spinodal d ecay which are quasiperiodic in time. This deviation of the decay from equilibrium results from a flow mechanism for the spatial separation of the phases.
