Abstract
Isolated dorsal dislocation and rotatory dislocation of the second car pometacarpal joint is rare. A case of rotatory dislocation of this joi nt is presented, where reduction was blocked by entrapment of the exte nsor carpi radialis longus tendon in the joint. A roentgenographic tec hnique for evaluating dislocation of carpometacarpal joints is also de scribed.
