Abstract
Three freshwater, epiphytic species of the cyanoprocaryotic (cyanophyc ean, cyanobacterial) genera Cyanocystis (C. mexicana spec. nova) and X enococcus (X. willei GARDNER, X bicudoi spec. nova), which occur commo nly in streaming, unpolluted waters of central Mexico, were studied an d documented. The generic diacritical features of Cyanocystis and Xeno coccus are discussed.
