Abstract
Classical trajectory calculations have been performed to explore the v ibrational influence on the spatial anisotropy parameter beta in triat omic molecular photodissociation. Our calculations indicate that in a fast dissociation, accompanied by a large angular momentum excitation of the diatomic fragment, the recoil direction can change as much as 2 0-degrees thereby resulting in a measurable modification of beta.
