Application of rovibrationally resolved, continuous supersonic-jet, Fo
urier-transform, infrared absorption spectroscopy to the investigation
of weakly bound dimers is reported. Analysis of the nu1 and nu2 stret
ching vibrational bands of OC-H35Cl and OC-H37Cl has been performed an
d the following molecular parameters, including band origin frequencie
s (nu(i)) and excited state rotational and distortion constants (B', D
'), have been determined (in cm-1). For OC-H35Cl: nu1=2851.76061(21);
B1'=0.0560443(31); D1'=1.795(80) x 10(-7); nu2=2155.50001(13); B2'=0.0
554824(10); D2'=1.650(15) x 10(-7). For OC-H37Cl; nu1=2849.67217(54);
B1'=0.0547611(55); D1'=1.63(11) x 10(-7); nu2=2155.50626(62); B2'=0.05
42013(21); D2'= 1.48(16) x 10(-7). These results are compared with a p
revious study of this complex performed using continuous supersonic-je
t, diode-laser, infrared absorption spectroscopy.
