Abstract
A continuous version of multiresolution analysis is described, startin g from usual continuous wavelet decompositions. Scale discretization l eads to decompositions into functions of arbitrary bandwidth, satisfyi ng QMF-like conditions. Finally, a nonlinear multiresolution scheme is described, providing multiplicative reconstruction formulas.
