Sn. Cramer et Co. Slater, INVESTIGATION OF RADIATION EFFECTS IN HIROSHIMA AND NAGASAKI USING A GENERAL MONTE-CARLO DISCRETE ORDINATES COUPLING SCHEME, Nuclear science and engineering, 114(1), 1993, pp. 1-11
A general Monte Carlo-discrete ordinates radiation transport coupling
procedure has been created to study effects of the radiation environme
nt in Hiroshima and Nagasaki due to the bombing of these two cities. T
he forward two-dimensional, free-field, air-over-ground flux is couple
d with an adjoint Monte Carlo calculation. The size, orientation, or t
ranslation of the Monte Carlo geometry is unrestricted. The radiation
effects calculated are the dose in the interior of a large concrete bu
ilding in Nagasaki and the activation production of Co-60 and P-32 in
Hiroshima.
